    Power of the Media
Fact - you & I truly know nothing about this case
Fact - the media can truly become 1 sided and make the opposing party appear evil
Fact - denying medical interevention (yes a feeding tube) is humane as long as there is morphine distributed at the same time - my opinion
Fact - this has become a media circus
Fact - I hope someone puts a pillow over my head if I ever end up in that state
Fact - we all need to feel compassion for ALL parties involved
Fact - this was a personal family matter that unfortunately got out of control due to unfortunate events
Fact - There is still a war going on, children starving, & evil people in the world
Fact - I can't listen to my usual conservative talk radio today, with the exception of Boortz & O'Reilly. The others are getting too extreme on this case.
Fact - I believe in euthenasia - it is a free country & I can believe anything I want!

Fair Tax Plan/Please set my mom straight on health care
I listen to bits & pieces of Neil Boortz in the car every day. One thing that really gets me excited is the fair tax plan. It is basically a national consumption tax & eliminates paying taxes. You also get a debit card with an amount of money on it for refunds normally given by the IRS. Basically, your refund goes right back into the economy. Sorry to my CPA friends but this would be a wonderful thing. Check out this article on Townhall for more info http://www.townhall.com/columnists/georgewill/gw20050331.shtml

My goal is to reach 7,000 hits by the end of the day - almost there!!!!!

Blind Golfer Scores Hole in One/misc thoughts
    http://tulsa.cox.net/cci/newsnational/national?_mode=view&_state=maximized&view=article&id=D8959UP02
This is wonderful for him, but sad to all who never get one!
As for the world right now:
    1. UN needs to disappear & leave the US ASAP!
    2. Neil Boortz's Fair tax/consumption tax plan needs to be evaluated heavily!
    3. Israelis need to unite & not divide right now
    4. The US needs to get an exit strategy for Iraq out to the American people
    5. ACLU needs to stay out of everyone's business
    7. Terry's family needs to let her die peacefully at this time. They can now spend the rest of their lives helping pass bills & reminding people to do advance directives now! There is a point of no return & unfortunately they have probably reached it. Reinserting the tube at this point would be counterproductive.
    8. I need to clone myself!

Talk to my Mother - please!!!!
Interesting conversation about some unfamiliar territory. My Mom thinks the Bush Administration (1) doesn't care about the high cost of medicine (2) health insurance (she wants National Health) which the Clintons had 8 years to put in place, & (3) feels Social Security reform should go on hold until the cost of her Lipitor in the US goes down. I like to back everything up with fact and am not to well read on these issues. I am hoping my readers can enlighten my mom (Janet) on these matters & myself too.

    Imaginary Creatures?
Another year & the kids almost caught a leprechaun. Each year we build a trap to lure the little guy in. This year he left us a note, thanked us for the use of our potty (peed green), trashed the house a bit (or was it already trashed hmm....). Fortunately he left some US gold dollars for our trouble. Charlie (his name) told us to try again next year & maybe a "dumber" leprechaun would come & fall for the trap. He did tell us the "fools gold" (rocks painted yellow) lured him to our pathetic excuse for a trap!!!

Tomorrow the kids await for a furry, floppy eared friend with whiskers. Last year the little critter pooped in the front hallway. How disgusting! I had to clean it up immediately! Not that Easter means anything to me religiously, but has always been a time to spend a day with my family & hubby usually makes his traditional roast. I anxiously await their reaction to the chewed up carrots in the house.

Did I mention a piece of Santa's outfit was stuck in the chimney this past X-mas?

No Slant in this Article (LOL)
Go ahead, I dare you, read the propaganda in the Palestinian Chronicle. Notice in the article, how Scott Ritter is perceived as being a good "informant." Of course they are taking about the US possibility of attacking poor innocent, we promise we won't make any more nuclear stuff (with fingers crossed behind their back) Iran. Gotta blame a lot on Bolton too - his job is to help the US attack Iran. Throw in some Israeli blame too, why not, they are evil too!Puhleeze! http://www.palestinechronicle.com/story.php?sid=20050318091805934

If you've read it, you can't help but love it. Even my Catholic friends thought it an excellent fictitious read. I spent 2 days of ignoring the rest of the world to read it. Today a Cardinal spoke out strongly opposing the book and Catholic stores for selling it. More criticism will certainly arise when the release of the movie comes. I am not a "conspiracy theorist" by any stretch of the imagination, but I do believe the Vatican may hold some secrets they have yet to share with the world. By the way, Dan Brown has a great website I strongly recc. visiting - after you read the book! I love hitting the "religious button" and getting intelligent feedback, considering my diverse background of readers!

    Adopt A Platoon
My kids elementary school has adopted a platoon of 30 soldiers in the Army. Our agreement is to send them packages twice a month for the length of their deployment. The generosity (I know I've talked about this before) is overwhelming. It gives me "warm fuzzies." Last week I sent out another package since I am the POC & responsible for checking all packages & mailing them. I dread (so does the Post Office) having to go in & do 30 packages again. These flat rate boxes are great - but each has to go the through the customs routine & that is very tedious!

    Toilet Paper & Libs
    http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/local/southflorida/sfl-0310toiletpaper,0,2301086.story?coll=sfla-home-headlines

Yet another winner from Florida. Boortz talked about this yesterday & I had to share it. Putting a tax on TP in FL would really help something or other ..... I can see it now, an illegal TP trade from Georgia. I am sure this tax would take care of so much. How about worrying about the welfare of the children in that state? Seems that the misc. wierdos in the US somehow by gravity, end up in Florida. Maybe Florida has some off shore magnet that attracts lower intelligence people. And to think, I lived there 5 years, achieved higher education there, gave birth to 2 children there & consider moving back. Maybe the shift will eventually drop them all to Miami & they will head off to Cuba in luxury liners!

    Children of Deployed Soldiers
No pity please!!! Just wanted to reach out & share other things that go on during war time. Watched some protestors in the news yesterday from San Fran that made me want to vomit. They chased some Army recuiters out of there after terrorizing them. Give me a f-n break.

Anyway, back to children. Sometimes you want to beat them but they really need a hug. That is how it has been at my house lately. I gave all the info for deployment to the counselor at my boy's school. But, unless you have ever lived it, paper can't prepare you for the possibilities. Children go through a rollercoaster of phases with a missing parent. Let me tell you, it can be trying at times. Often times the only ones that really understand it completetly are other military parents. We just expect kids to lash out at some time or have nightmares or anxiety during deployments. I even have a friend whose 10 year old stopped eating. I bitch & gripe a lot on my blog, but that is my healthy outlet. Kids can't necessarily funnel their anger appropriately.

I'll write something lighter next time.

PISSR (people in search of safe restrooms)
Brit Hume spoke about this group on Fox yesterday. I thought having an 8 year old boy & needing to use a public restroom was a dilemma? Now the PISSR group has formed for those in "various states" of gender changing/confusion. Remember "Pat" from SNL? We never knew which bathroom she used. I hope the energy from this group is well spent. After all, it is more important they have the correct bathroom, than say - stop world hunger!

    White Carpet
Who in the world would put white carpet in a home (and on the stairs)???? The house we bought has it everywhere!!! Today I have a vomiting cat, dog & kid and my white carpets look like hell. I hope all this puking will serve as an appetite suppressant for me. I have definitely gained a few deployment pounds & now it is time to shed them! Seeing bathing suits in the store is good motivation too. My Monday morning, "I am going to start exercising today" plans will have to wait until all are well . I love good excuses! No pity party - time to get cleaning and drink caffeine until my head spins!!! I am sure all this cleaning will burn a few calories.

    "Heteronormative" who made this up?
I am proud of being from the East Coast: Bostonian, Masshole, East Coast Gal, Yankee, South Shore chick. But, after living all over the country, I am SO glad I broke away from the politics that dominate Beantown (& yes, most my family). Ted & Johnny K. Are only a few bad examples ( I would like to say that none of my family had anything to do with keeping them in office, but I'd be lying). My husband, who is also from the Boston area (we met in Florida), brags for his sports team & cringes for the politics from this wonderful city. But honestly, is being a nutcase, liberal, whatever a requirement for getting into Harvard now?http://www.thecrimson.com/article.aspx?ref=506104?

    • Ted Kennedy - just because!

Back to important news - HELLO - THERE IS A WAR GOING ON!!!!!!! Boortz said yesterday that most of America would not understand the whole terrorist concept unless someone kidnapped the American Idol judges. He may be on to something. 9/11 seems to have lost its meaning to some Americans. Two more months, I hope, until hubby returns. As people bitch and moan about the mundane, my heart shows little sympathy - sorry ! However, trivial stuff distracts me from the fact that hubby is in harms way & I am trying to run a household here. Did I mention my household is chaotic?????????? Bring on the XANAX!!!!
