    Doggie School Dropout
I finally fessed up to hubby that I paid for the dog to go to obedience school. Whenever he called over the past 2 weeks he was told the dog was sleeping or outside. Guilt got the best of me and I had to share this with him & y'all! Chulo - our 2 yr old mutt has been away for 2 weeks at "doggy boot camp." He was supposed to graduate on Wednesday. Unforunately biting (not breaking skin) the owner of the camp doesn't get you a diploma. A few extra days for bad behavior!

    Care Packages with Caution
My kids' school is involved in the "Adopt a Platoon" program & I am the POC for it. Which means, I have to go through the contents of each package & mail them myself. Since the news of the nastygrams sent through a school in New York, I had to sit & read every letter from 1st through 5th graders. http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/world/archives/2005/02/25/2003224513
Fortunately, our groups letters brought nothing but joy to my face. The kids repeatedly said they were proud of the Soldiers & pray for their safe return. The outpouring of generosity from this community is overwhelming. The school had to designate a room for all the goods donated so far. During a 2 week period, we have enough goods to send care package to our 30 soldiers for 6 months, twice a month. WOW! Is this a "Red vs Blue state" attitude?

    Liberal Teachers?
    www.news14.comSchools chief apologizes for anti-war assignment2/18/2005 10:29
    AMBy: Associated Press

A seventh-grade teacher's assignment to write a letter asking President Bush to send troops home from Iraq has brought an apology from a North Carolina schools superintendent. Superintendent Tony Stewart of the Elizabeth City-Pasquotank school system apologized Wednesday for the assignment to students at River Road Middle School.Stewart said the instructions were inappropriate because they didn't allow for individual opinions. He didn't say if the teacher was disciplined.

Thanks to Bonnie for bringing this story to my attention. I still support public schools!

    Scott Ritter is Scum
I don't have time to do any research right now. But, surfing around about a person I never trusted & really despise - I want to organize a "Scott Ritter is a Scum" website. I proposed to Little Green Footballs that they head this up. Lets take this traitor down. Oh ya, he now works for Al Jazeera - go figure!

Go look at Black Five, the February 16th post may shed some light on any doubters of his character. Please read through his comments & check the references - then you can make a decision whether he is a good guy (choke, gag, puke).

*** Thursday night - wanted to give you the link to his article -get the barf bag out! http://english.aljazeera.net/NR/exeres/ADCA48CC-9307-466B-BA18-82724CAA7484.htm

    Positive vs. Negative News

Dealing with my 3 kids alone lately continues to be a trying (rewarding my ass - LOL) experience during this deployment. Sometimes I look like Linda Blair with my head spinning around & green slime coming from my mouth. If a video was placed in my house or worse, in the car, we could put the "horror children" in any of those "nanny" shows to shame. At 6:30 AM with my first cup of coffee - I love them to pieces - they look so angelic while they sleep. My husband usually calls at 10:00 PM when I am ususally trying to watch O'Reilly with toothpicks under my eyelids. Our conversation usually goes something like this :

"How are the kids?" Answer - somebody bit somebody , cat ran away, bad report card, high gas bills, someone has a cold - you get the idea.

"How is Iraq?" Answer - same stuff different day

Me - I'm exhausted - gotta go to bed!

My point with all this - it is easier to point out the negative at the end of the day than the positive. So listen up MSM -quit bitching & only showing the negative news now that the voting has taken place. Show a real story with passion & wake the eyes of the anti-American/anti-everything people up & let them know what is really going on in Iraq.

Thanks everyone - I feel better now. Time to go do my evening chores & go into a TV coma! By the way - I do have good kids - I am just overworked & underpaid! I also miss my hubby!

P.S. Thanks for the 20 something comments!

    Feeling Bustery Again
Referring to my previous post about my cat Buster. Yes, the "short for his weight" cat with 26 toes that needs me to wife his ass. It's Friday, it's beautiful out & housework awaits me. However, I feel like crawling back under the covers & watching mindless TV all day. Reality - you have 3 kids that need you. I would say ahhh Friday - but all the days seem to blend into each other when you are a stay at home Mom. Life is good & hubby is safe. I am in a good mood & feel good - just a Little Bustery!

    Warped Views
With freedom & freedom of expression come some really "wacky" ideas. I have been doing a lot of surfing lately to find out what is out there. Yep, people with Communist dreams are alive & well. Face it - communism doesn't work- always a failure! When I was a kid I used to think the world would be a better place if nobody needed money & we all just traded & helped each other out. A wonderful dream - but a reality that could never be! Hence the N Koreans starving while the leaders live in luxury. There will always be the have & have-nots. However, there will be those who try & get out of this & those who don't give a rats... Hence, the American dream of opportunity.

As far as Pelosi & Reid, Neal Bortz hit it on the nose when he said they looked like they should be selling sex toys. Somehow I didn't get any warm fuzzies or an inkling of compassion from either of them. Did anybody??? "I visited this place, that - saw wounded soldiers & now we need to stop occupying -blahblahblah...." All they have to offer is compassion for those who don't agree with the current government or have some beef with it. I wonder how many soldiers they have in their families???

Response from another Hooah Wife (from Jan 27 blog)
"I agree with Greta, we are committed at this point and questioning our efforts is an exercise in futility and may actually hurt the efforts of our brave soldiers. My husband recently returned from a year-long deployment to Iraq so I have the luxury of answering this question, knowing that he is safe at home. Do I think that things have gone perfectly? No, but many of those mistakes are now obvious in hind-sight (i.e. WMDs and underestimating the insurgency). I do think that there are a few things this administration can do better, though. One is that we need to increase our efforts to train the Iraqis. Realistically, our presence in Iraq has become part of the problem. Once Iraq can protect itself we can start withdrawing our own troops. Having said that, it is enormously gratifying to see how well the election went this weekend and I am more convinced than ever that this was the right thing to do."

Post From My Husband in Iraq (MSM kiss my...)
Today I have been greeted by a half dozen, or more, Iraqi’s who work here with the waving of an ink-stained finger and big smile. The elation felt by Americans over the success of the vote last Sunday is doubled by the elation felt by the coalition forces here and the Iraqi people. What a great day. We are all relieved that the violence was minimal but also are aware that this was not due to accident or coincidence. The Coalition forces and Iraqi security (police and army) prepared long and hard for this day. Most of the attacks were carried out by, or resulted in, suicide attackers with few (if any) reaching their intended targets. This was due to the committed and prepared Iraqi security forces some of which sacrificed their lives for this event to take place. They did it for their fellow Iraqis’ and for the future of their country. Their critics are silent today. The other part of this success story was carried out by the Iraqi voters who, under the very real threat of death, arrived at the polls and cast their ballots. This was not always made easy. Many had to walk miles (vehicular travel was forbidden) and many more had to wait in long lines some of which stretched out beyond the security perimeter. You have all heard and seen the good news stories on television by now. We are happy for these people and hopeful for the future. Their critics said they were not capable of democracy or were not committed enough to make it work. They are also silent today.
It ain’t over yet. As the President stated, there is still a lot of hard work to do. The terrorists have suffered a major defeat but are expected to resume their murderous ways. The critics have suffered a serious setback but will soon return to the airwaves with their negative reports and pessimism. Perhaps the real story behind the election is the Iraqi’s have proven they are committed to establishing a democracy amongst the ruins of Saddam’s legacy and the rest of us are infected with renewed hope and a renewed sense of commitment for their future.
